About Woolly Buns
Woolly Buns were conceived many years ago while hiking with a friend around Lake Siskiyou. As I felt the chill settle in on my behind, I mentioned how long it takes to warm up and began imagining a way that I could ward off the cold while having a little fun. I envisioned a wool skirt with a little flare to wear over my jeans and called them Woolly Buns for woolly-warm buns. I very much wanted one for myself and knew that others would also enjoy their function as much as their fun.
In 2013, I was invited into a Collective here in Siskiyou County making wool felt beds. My first thought was actualizing a Woolly Bun and then I went to school on bed felting. |
Working with wool brought satisfaction and peace to these artisan hands and feet, as the wool itself emanates a tender grounded energy. As the flow of life would have it, the wool comprising Woolly Buns landed in my lap as an extra layer that would not felt to the bed felt. As an independent felter that purchased my own wool, this extra layer needed creative resourcing.
Voila! Woolly Buns are now available for all. I believe you will enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating and wearing them. I am also a yoga instructor and now wear my yoga wrap to every class. |
